Jalsa – A Royal Experience!

This is one of the restaurant which fascinated me from the moment I set my foot in!

Jalsa indeed is true to its name – enjoyment and fun. Its a traditional Mughlai cuisine restaurant which gives an unique experience of both beautiful ambience and food served here. Jalsa is located on Outer Ring Road opposite to Bagmane Constellation Business Park. Google maps are accurate. They have parking facility.

Ambience:

Jalsa opens door for completely different experience! Entire restaurant is a palatial setup, with stunning doors, beautiful crystal drapes and crystal chandelier at the center of the hall, which lifts the ambience. They have many seating options, from cozy corners, family lounge and for huge crowd.

I was here with group of blogger friends as a part of review. As mesmerized I was with the ambience of this place, I was eager enough to try their cuisine!

Drinks to start with:

We were offered multitude of drinks which included Cocktails, Mocktails and Juices. Some of them were, Haste Zakham (Bacardi, Fresh passion fruit, Lime and Pineapple juice), Sharmilee (Absolute Mandarin, Smirnoff Orange, Lime and Sugar), Nawabi Ruthf (Amaretto, Whiskey, Lime and sugar).

Funky Toffee (Chocolate Mocktail), Mango Lassi, Jaljeera and Chaas.

Each drink was unique and the best of them which I liked were Haste Zakham and Chaas. Chaas was so delicious, we all ended up ordering 40 plus glasses!! 🙂 This was one of those epic moments. A must try from this place 🙂

Starters:

We started with something unusual, Karela Salad. This is one of their best selling dish and I totally agree with them. It was really tasty and we ended up ordering thrice!!

More from starters were Bhindi Kurkure, Multani Paneer Tikka, Chatpati Soya Chaap, Bharwan Khumb from Vegetarian section. Tandoori Jhinga, Hot and Sour Lamb Chops, Kalmi Kebab and Khandari Chicken Tikka from Non Vegtarian section.

My personal favorite was Multani Paneer Tikka, Chatpati Soya Chaap and Bharwan Khumb! They were soft, moist and deliciously cooked to perfection!! We ordered couple of more servings of Bharwan Khumb!! Amongst my non- vegetarian friends Khandari Chicken Tikka was in talks.

Vegetarian Starters

Non-Vegetarian Starters:

Main Course:

Moving onto entree, we were served some Indian breads like Tandoori Roti and Phulkas with Bhojpuri Dum Aloo, Kadai Vegetable, Mutton Rogan Josh and Desi Dum ka Murgh. I liked Kadai Vegetable and in non vegetarian variant Mutton Rogan Josh was in talks by my fellow bloggers.

Vegetable Dum Biriyani was ok, but not up to the mark. Murgh dum Biriyani was good as per my fellow bloggers. Both the dishes were presented well.

Desserts:

After such a scrumptious meal, we were served Rabdi Malpua, Homemade Kulfi and Rasmalai for desserts. Homemade Kulfi was too good.

Overall Experience:

This was a beautiful and royal experience, with such good ambience and good food. Staff were very courteous and dressed appropriate to the theme. A Visual treat which takes back in time and enhances the overall experience.
