Chai Galli is one destination which a Tea lover must never miss! This place is dedicated to Tea and offers some brilliant options to try out.
They have couple of Outlets in Bengaluru. I had been to their Brooke field outlet, as a part of Bloggers meet. Me and couple of blogger buddies decided to meet for an afternoon session. It is easy to locate this place. Google maps are accurate. They also have parking facility.
Ambience:
Ambience of this place is quiet unique, all decked up with rustic Chai kettles and cans gives a feel good factor for the place. Bollywood posters around the place gives a little oomph on the concept. Comfortable seating makes it a place to spend some quality time with family and friends.
Drinks to start with:
It will be quiet ironic to say that I am not fond of Tea, but even though tried to venture this place 🙂 I tried their Masala Chai, Chamomile Tea, Chai Galli Special and Virgin Silver Tea.
Masala Chai was very good, perfectly balanced with right amount of spices like Cardamom, Sauf, Rose, Cinnamon, and ginger. Chai Galli Special was made of Sour Hibiscus, Ginger extract and Mint. It was refreshing. My personal favorite was Virgin Silver Tea made of Plum, Amaretto and Wild honey.
Starters:
Moving onto appetizers, We were served Bhujiya Maska Bun. Bun centered with butter and sev that goes well with Tea.
Khamani, made of Channa dal, Gujarati classic basically was served on Khakra. This was good enough.
Namkeen Shots and Corn Shots were something unique I haven’t had before. Namkeen shots were very tasty and my personal favorite out of the two. Corn shots were filled with Corn, Mayonnaise and topped with loads of grated cheese. These were yumm!
Main Course:
Moving onto their Khana Shuru ( Main Course ) menu, we ordered Tossed Mushroom, Chole Kulcha, Angrezi Maggi and Veggies on a Khakra.
Tossed Mushroom was brilliantly done and a must try from this place. Chole Kulcha was tasty enough, Kulcha was stuffed with paneer. Angrezi Maggi was really good with exotic flavours of Mushrooms, Broccoli, Bell peppers and Sun dried tomatoes. This was just perfect! Veggies on a Khakra was beautifully done, it was a brilliant fusion of Gujarati and Italian cuisine. It tasted just like a pizza!!
Desserts:
We were so full by the end of main course, so decided to order just one portion of dessert. And that was the ultimate Chai Galli Special Falooda! This is one of the most beautifully presented dish I have ever seen till date!! Such precision and detailing. It tasted really good.
My Overall experience was great! Couldn’t have asked for better end to the review than such a brilliant looking dessert. Staff were extremely courteous and ambience gives an additional feel good factor to the food served here.
I would love to hear from you all. Do leave a comment below if you have been to this restaurant and also your favourites.
