THE RIG – Melange of Food and Drinks!

A new Micro Brewery in Town! This is one of the closest to my place and thats what I was really happy about. Quite recently I had been to this place, thanks to my friends who told me about it. We made a visit during evening hours. Located on Sarjapur Road, traffic is almost extreme at that time but somehow managed to get in and once you do, you won’t regret! Its next to Wipro Corporate office. Google maps are accurate.

Ambience : 

A brilliant space split into 4 different level of seatings with live DJ corner. Very rustic themed with vintage decor. Huge main door gives a different feel to this place. I was dazzled by the enormity of this ambience! Since I had been there in evening it gave a completely different experience with all the glow and glitters of light. Music played was definitely brilliant and adds groove to your time spent there.

Drinks to start with :

Since its a Microbrewery, firstly we were served with the samplers of their craft beers. Cider, Juicy flavour with vibrant flavours with little bit of sweetness. Stout, a dark brew with chocolate aromas and hint of vanilla with a bitter finish. Ipa, a British beer with citrus aroma. Hefeweizen, German Wheat beer with aromas of banana, cloves and bubblegum. Saison, fruity and spicy one. Hefeweizen was one of my favourites in the list I must say.

Lullaby was one amazing cocktail we tried. Chocolate Coffin Mocktail tasted great as well.

Impressive ones were the Shooters, Brain Hemorrhage was one of the best out of three! Brilliant taste and definitely a must try!

Starters :

Starters are something which are mostly ordered in these places. We were served The Rig Special Nachos, Moroccon Ceaser Salad, Jamaican Jerk Chicken Wings, Brandy Chicken tikka, Peri Peri Prawns were some of them. I liked both the Vegetarian starters but Nachos definitely had an upper hand. My friends liked Peri Peri Prawns. 

 

Main Course :

Pepperoni Pizza and Green Waves Pizza were the ones we ordered. They were empty in no time! Green waves pizza was too good.  Murgh Dum Biriyani and Butter Chicken combo were good as per my Non Vegetarian friends. I loved the Green Asparagus and Spinach Risotto, flavours were great and not lumpy. Perfectly done.

All stuffed by the end of main course, decided to skip ordering Desserts and just took a bite from what my friends ordered. Zauk E Shahi, Gulab Jamuns coated with chocolate sauce and served in delicious rich Rabdi. We all enjoyed it!

Overall Experience :

This microbrewery lived upto the expectation what we had, Good food and good alcohol, great ambience all under one roof. Staff were very courteous and made sure we had good time there.
